The ICD-10 cut over is going to be disruptive on October 1, 2013.

Matthew Menendez, Vice President of Sales and Marketing from White Plume Technologies predicts,

"The cut over is going to be pretty disruptive. Unfortunately it’s something we have to deal with in the industry because it has been mandated October 1, 2013. That’s a Tuesday. On Monday clinics are going to be using their same paper superbill, but on Tuesday they’re going to have to have a radically different approach. That probably means fewer patients will be seen and headaches for the front office staff, clinical staff, and billing staff. There has got to be a better way to do that. That’s one of the things we’re trying to do here at White Plume: make it a smooth process so that Tuesday is no worse than Monday."
